Updates

Easter morning pictures. I love to dress all the boys in the same outfit. I know that Jared rolls his eyes each time that I do - but who can resist. I have all these boys. There is only one downside - Cannon is just not quite big enough to find the identical outfit for him. We had to settle for his cute button down shirt. Monica wasn't sure what to wear - but since she's the only girl, I told her she could be completely unique!

Cannon sitting in his high chair while we colored easter eggs. We tried feeding him his first foods - he was definately not interested. He spit it out and made terrible faces at me - no matter how many times that I tried. I guess he's sticking with milk for now. I figure if he's still sleeping through the night, the milk must be working.

Coloring easter eggs.

Ryker and the Easter bunny at the Easter egg hunt. Monica was very generous and helped the Easter bunny by being one of his helpers! She was a very good sport!! Ryker, Jerrick and Gunnar had a good time gathering up eggs. Ryker even won a prize. He was very excited - but he was very sweet and shared with his brothers. After the hunt, we went out to Knolls and went 4-wheeling with Grandma, Grandpa, Baili, Shelly and Gage (oh and Shelly's friend Jamie). We had a fun time!!

Feeding the ducks at 1st dam in Logan. We stopped on our way home from Bear Lake over conference weekend. We figured it would be a good spot to stop and stretch our legs. It was all going well until we broke out a loaf of bread and started throwing it. Ryker was distraught. How could we be throwing 'his' bread out to the ducks. I finally had to take him to the car he was making such a fuss. Who knew bread could be so dang important!

My baby finally rolled over! A half hearted "YEAH" - since I know what this will bring. He's already starting to scoot around on the floor and I am just not ready for him to be mobile. Yes, I know that it will happen eventually, but I sure don't want it to happen too soon. We took him to the doctor for his 6 month appointment - he's growing, so that's all that counts. He's in the 10th percentile for height and 25th percentile for weight. The doctor even said we could start 2nd foods. Too bad, he won't even eat 1st food!! Although there are benefits of not having solid food yet . . . it's when it comes out the other end!! Sorry, TMI!

Monica turned 13 on the 29th of March. She's offically a teenager. Scary! She was so cute - she helped her brothers decorate a train for her birthday cake, but then asked her dad to bring her home a cheesecake (her absolute favorite) - so we decked the cheesecake out with candles and had a great time. Gage and Baili were visiting and Gage loved cheesecake. He had a whole piece himself. Yum!! Scary to think that she'll be grown before we know it. She's such a big help with all of her brothers and is a lot of fun to have around! She finished reading Fablehaven book 4 and couldn't wait for me to finish reading it. She even had a page number that I needed to get to, so we could discuss it. It's been a lot of fun reading the books with her.

Well, I think that's all the updates for now. It's amazing how fast times flies by. I guess I'm trying to enjoy each and every day and not take anything for granted. Although I could have killed my kids today in Primary for being little monsters. Deep breath - I'm trying to take it all in stride.
